Just so y'all know, NCSoft is currently producing a space-age MMORPG named Tabula Rasa. From the trailers I've seen, it looks pretty cool.

I had this idea and I actually thought about submitting it to Anet.
By the time chapter 2 is finished, Tyria will be like a ghostland, some are already bored with it now and by the time we get bored with Cantha we will be OVERKILL Bored with tyria, so what do you do?? Drop a crap load of meteors on it, meteors and star fragments with alien lifeforms traveling on them, that once they land feed on the recources to evolve and adapt to conquer, Call it Guild Wars "Star Scars" or something. but Tyria will live ONCE AGAIN!

I like the ideas of something Meditteranian (don't care if it's spelled wrong) like the Greek or Roman Empire or Africa/Egypt. About going South American, this could likely be, since they're trying to work towards making GW available to Brazil among other places and they might try and appeal that way like they used the new Asian theme to appeal to all the new Asian countries they're opening up in.

You know, Arenanet are smart and creative people, so I'm sure they can think of new civilizations without having to be limited to real-world cultures.

No, no, no. You all have it wrong. Hasn't anyone played Final Fantasy? There will be one rippin war (the factions war) that will destroy most of the know world. Then a thousand years or so will pass, (either thru time shift or natural passage) and the world will begin anew. Robots, lasers, strange flying boats, and super cool combo finishing moves ftw!

It should be persian or middle eastern-themed. Bazaars and palaces, hanging gardens etc. Maybe a rip-off of the tower of babylon could be a mission, kinda like how those desert guys tried in the crystal desert but make it accessible.

Maybe they would create a level designer for guilds? A guild can build a level and challenge other guilds for GVG. You choose a theme for the map and you have a set size of map with a max number of items you can put on. The problem is letting others have the map would mean they have to download it each time they join a game but if it could be done as the teams are talking tactics etc.. then it may work?
Egyptian may be a possible, could ruin the plans for stargate game?
Dawn of Man - prehistoric, go T rex farming
Either way I would still prefer that it is in a time were the weaponary is still swords and bows etc.. not guns and lasers.

I want a pony! There should be ponies in chapter 3 or i will cry. And maybe magical candyfloss machines. You could get a sugary morale boost! And it should be set in Northen Europe, and there could be tanks...yeah ponies vs tanks, wouldnt that pwn? Oh and my pony has to be pink and have blue ribbons in her mane.

You get one more character slot, but only one character. Chuck Norris. That's it. Only Chuck. New areas include bad movie sets. Enemies have AI similiar to pre-AoE nerf, in that they just stand there so you can ninja their asses back to their base.

I'd like so see something more urban, with actual adventuring around and inside buildings. Tight corridors, that sort thing.

I heard the next chapter was going to be a Wild West theme.
Possie Faction vs. Outlaw Faction
But really.. imho the Asian thing is just too realistic for this kind of game.

Eh Guild Wars is more on the realistic than toonish. Hence only races are people, so far.

even tho its just wrong, i have to say it,,,,
if an american theme, plantation wars would be so much cooler than wild west.
i can see the ad on the boc to it now:
Guildwars:Plantations
Fight for your freedom or fight for your right to whipcrack
Gamespot : "ITS A COTTON PICKIN GOOD TIME!"

How about we give all of the people of Tyria a PC and they can play Guild Wars on them. We play the people playing GW. Nice
